Water: Medium

General Information: These plants are part of the Araceae family and are also known as the Split-lead Philodendrons. They will grow quite large with the right amount of love! It needs medium to bright light and while it will survive in lower light, the leaves won’t split. Allow the water to drain out of the pot when watering and let the top dry out a few inches before watering again. 

Watering: Philodendrons need a well draining potting mix. Water needs are moderate with lots of species tolerating a bit of neglect.

Light: Bright, indirect. Some species tolerate less light than others.

Philodendrons are generally forgiving and will tolerate all kinds of neglect including low light, poor soil, and inconsistent watering. They are sometimes referred to as aroids.
