Sweet and tender. Attractive, bright red stalks with red-veined dark green, crinkly leaves. Cook the stalks like asparagus and the leaves like spinach. Pick at 30 days for baby leaves and 60 days for mature leaves. Delicious in salads, quiche or steamed with butter.

Sow seed directly into the garden once all danger of frost has passed.
