A yellow, French bush bean that is popular throughout Europe. Retains its superior buttery rich taste and crispness when cooked. A wonderful multipurpose bean that is great for fresh eating, cooked or canned. For best taste, harvest when pods are the thickness of a pencil. The more you pick, the more it produces. Extend the harvesting season by making smaller successive sowings every one or two weeks until mid-June instead of one large initial sowing at the beginning of the season.
Sow seeds when the soil is warm and all danger of frost is past. Pick early and often to encourage production. Sow every 2 weeks until 8 weeks before fall frost.
