In the heart of Montreal, down rue Saint-Denis resides a porcelain workshop where French artist Maurice Filipozzi creates plates, cups, teapots and other chinaware that are renowned for their refined, bright motifs and their dazzling bling. Sometimes encrusted with Swarowski crystals, this porcelain is without a doubt a great gift to give or to receive.
Each piece is painted by hand in their Montreal workshop. You’ll find small traces of paintbrush and different shadings which attest to the artist’s work and each piece bears the artist’s signature. Bright colours and fine workmanship dazzle up the practical teacups, mugs and serving dishes. Zocalo is pleased to carry these artistic tabletop pieces, signatures of the Filipozzi line.
Maurice sends his hopes that “each piece brings you as much job as it did in my creating it”. Bringing joy to your table, one carefully created piece at a time. Teacup and saucer, $42. Mug, $35.
